Thought Leadership Programme
Populus has developed the Thought Leadership Programme to meet the demands of organisations who wish to use the insights of original opinion research to stimulate debate in an intelligent and analytical way.
The Populus Thought Leadership Programme provides clients with an opportunity to use the neutral medium of research to lead debate in the public affairs arena by engaging opinion formers and stakeholders from a range of different perspectives.
Taking advantage of Populus’s reputation for impartial research and insight and our experience in the worlds of public policy, politics and government, corporate communications and strategy, clients can position themselves as thought leaders on issues of importance to an industry or to the wider community.
The Thought Leadership Programme involves commissioning original opinion research on an issue on the public policy agenda, and publishing the results in the form of a book or pamphlet with contributions from respected commentators in the field. This may then serve as the basis for an informed discussion among think-tanks and pressure groups, politicians and officials, journalists, and commercial interests of all persuasions.
The format of the Thought Leadership Programme is flexible and can be tailored to suit the specific needs of an organisation. The research project – which can be entirely UK focussed or include comparative surveys overseas - will be designed to deliver genuine insight, the results packaged to ensure maximum impact and, whether it’s a guest lecture or debate, fringe meetings at Party conferences, publication of a book or pamphlet, or a morning roundtable seminar, Populus can manage the public presentation of the research conclusions. Our partnership with Profile Books – the award-winning publishers of books such as Eats, Shoots & Leaves and the Economist Pocket Guides – ensures that Populus Thought Leadership Programme work is always attractively designed and produced.
