Respondents from Spain were most likely to think that this was acceptable (78%), and those from Germany least likely to think so (62%).
Generally speaking, younger respondents were most likely to think that these types of discounts and favourable terms were acceptable although this trend was less clear in Italy. 35 - 44 year olds were the least likely in every group to agree and in Germany, while 80% of 18 - 24 year olds thought it was acceptable, only 50% of 35 - 44 year olds thought so.
Businesses that promote and sell products such as holidays or car insurance confined to specific age groups such as the over 50s or 18-30 year olds.

Again, German respondents were least likely to think this was acceptable (54%), while Spanish respondents were most likely to do so (73%).

Nearly two thirds (64%) of all respondents disagreed with this statement. There was little difference between the four countries but Italian respondents were most likely to agree (39%) and German and French respondents were least likely to agree (34%).
